Ballarat Petanque Club is an affiliate of the  Pétanque Federation of Australia (PFA). It is also a member of the Victorian Pétanque Club Incorporated (VPCI). The websites of these two fine organisations provide a wealth of information regarding pétanque in Australia. Rules, regulations and tournament information and more can be found on one or the other of these two sites.

There are international sites that also contain tips, training videos (of varying quality) and competition dates as well as club information. If travelling OS and your baggage allowance is generous... well why wouldn't you throw in your boules?

More than half of the PFA registered players  in Australia reside in Victoria. The North West region of Victoria has many active pétanque clubs and there are local tournaments throughout the year as well as across the state and nation (if you are keen!) Club members who enjoy playing tournaments regularly travel to tournaments played at Camberwell, Mt Martha, Endeavour Hills and Doveton in addition to more local competitions in places such as Smythesdale, Woodend, Avoca and Learmonth.

The Ballarat Petanque Club has approximately 60 members. It is located within the grounds of the Ballarat East Bowling Club at 300 Bradshaw St Golden Point.

The Executive Committee has oversight of the running of the Club and the current composition consists of:
